“Short black” is the phrase most often spoken the whole world over – whether you find yourself in Italy, the USA, Australia or Jamaica… Keep it short, keep it black and you’ll be right.
This modern classic is easy to make. Just feed your beads onto a chain, cut chain to desired length and attach a clasp with two oval jumprings. I have used seven of the black resin and metal beads and six black and silver resin and metal ball beads in 18mm. I have strung these on a beautiful figaro chain and attached a 9mm bolt ring clasp, using 5mmx 6mm oval jump rings to attach the chain to the clasp. After you have done this take four 12mm silver jump rings and attach your feature beads to these. I have used four of the the 29mm x 50mm suncathcher crystals in black, which work great as feature beads. Now just clip these between your black and silver ball beads and – pronto – your short black is served, ready to showcase all around the world.
